Life with three kids...two of them under the age of 2 1/2 years can be stressful. It is so easy as parents to get wrapped up in the daily grind....diaper changes, baths, meals, cleaning up, bottles, snacks...the hundreds of I need, I need, I need! that happens in a day. I've noticed lately that like most couples, by the time we are done tending to the needs of the kids, we are EXHAUSTED and haven't been the best about taking care of US. We've been talking about this lately and I just have to tell you what my husband did!
Last night was my book club night. We meet once every 6 weeks at a restaurant to discuss the book I didn't read and then vote on the next book I probably won't get around to reading. It is great fun! I arrived at the restaurant last night a few minutes late. Several of my friends were already gathered around the table...some were shooting daggers my way and some were smiling like they knew something I didn't. Then I saw it.....in the middle of the table was a vase with three roses and an envelope with my name on it. Inside? A beautiful love letter from my husband.
He had arrived at the restaurant early, arranged with the owner to place these items on our table. Now seriously, people - how lucky am I? He's a keeper I tell ya.
